check-in Wed 08 Feb. On checking in I was pleased to see cutlery on the tables in the bar but that pleasure was immediately dispelled when the barmaid/receptionist informed me that the kitchen was not open of an evening. In the information for this inn it clearly states that there is a restaurant but it fails to state that it is not open in the evenings. There is even a photo of what appears to be a lamb shank on a plate. The whole point of booking this inn was to avoid having to drive after an evening meal and a drink as I had been driving most of the day and wanted to relax, instead I had to drive to Wantage and dine at "The Bear" without drinking. Rather poor don't you think?
