While coffee shops proliferate on the high street, sometimes an authentic, artisan patisserie serving excellent coffee also pops up. This is one of those wonderful exceptions. Their freshly baked pains au chocolat and almond croissants are really special, but all of their 'viennoiserie' shows that mark of French authenticity in not being too sweet. While their range is not large, everything is produced to a high standard.

There is nothing French about this patisserie apart from the name. Even French supermarkets sell better patisserie. The Paris-Brest and lemon tart were very dry and had no taste, it seemed like it was not fresh and had been defrosted. It was supposed to be a treat for the family, but everyone though it was disgusting.
