Grimsby Central Library

An architectural gem. I used it in the late 1970's, firstly as source material for my Geography A level on population explosions. Then I came back a couple of years later when my Zenit E camera messed up, and I would hide in a dark corner trying to retrieve photos I'd taken {I progressed to a Nikon system] Happy memories

Awful experience. I went in to do some university work and read a bit but it was impossible to concentrate. They were singing and dancing with the kids very loud I had noise cancelling headphones playing some white noise to try and drown it out and still all i could hear was wheels on the bus. I used to love this library, as a child theyd read us stories and when I got older I liked working there in the quiet peaceful environment. I library is not the place for song and dance how is anyone supposed to focus. What happened to reading kids stories. They need to get their priorities straight

The public records section is excellent and the staff are very knowledgeable and helpful
