Great course and a lovely stay! Amazing location with stunning views! Stayed at Blencathra for 4 nights; rooms, facilities, and food were good! The staff at the centre were very nice and helpful, Richard was great! Course was part of my Earth Science module with the OU, we were taken to many different great locations for fieldwork and I learnt a lot! Fantastic experience! Looking forward to doing more courses with the Field Studies Council!

I went here for a GCSE Geography trip course recently. The work made , and staff were good. However, the actual place is a different story. The Lake District and the views you get from the out side are lovely especially in the morning and you do get the all right facilities. But in the inside is question. Multiple rooms/dorms were full of mould and even bathrooms were flooded in it. This then caused a vast majority of the group to have coughs and leading to be ill. The food wasnt to my taste for example Jacket potato and Bolognaise sauce, but there were lots of choices when it came to breakfast. The beds contain stains, but the rooms were pretty clean. The stench in the place was on a different planet. Wouldnt recommend at all but each to their own.
