Riverain Coach House - The Rowley Estates

Staying at Riverain Coach House as part of the Rowley Estates is a real home from home and welcoming experience. Our group of four stayed for three nights, using the Coach House as a base to explore the north lakes. Prior to arriving at Riverain, communication with Christine Rowley was positive, consistent and seamless. My questions were answered quickly and efficiently. The booking process was very straightforward with information, such as directions easy to follow. Upon arrival at the Coach House, we found a well stocked and varied hamper, along with fresh flowers. Included in the hamper were eggs, fresh bread, butter, artisan biscuits, coffee, tea bags, cereal, locally made sweets, with milk, cheese and wine in the fridge. All appliances and facilities within Riverain are high end, and all three bedrooms have en suite facilities offering locally produced shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, body lotion etc. The Coach House was clean, well maintained and extremely well presented. Our party thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Riverain and will definitely book again, as we were all sad to leave. Thank you Christine and the team for a memorable few days :) Jayne

Very peaceful setting in countryside, with fascinating Blencowe Hall next door. Glorious & generous Welcome Hamper. Especially well stocked kitchen & bathrooms. Very warm despite sub-zero outside. Welcoming attention to detail. Cosy & luxurious lounge with leather sofas & large stove. All appliances & lights worked. Owner & staff very accommadating in allowing us a tour of Blencowe Hall. Very timely responses to all queries via email.

We had a fantastic stay at Riverain over New Year. The accommodation is very well appointed, cosy, comfortable and in a beautiful setting. The welcome hamper was exceptional and the little extras such as the local toiletries, doggy treats and dog towel were all a real bonus. We had such a great time that we have already booked again for next year!

We enjoyed a short autumn break at Riverain Coach House and would highly recommend a stay at the Rowley Estate. The location is great, with beautiful views and the lovely village of Greystoke nearby (we also recommend the Boot and Shoe for friendly staff and great food). The house has been renovated to a high standard while maintaining stunning original features. The Rowleys provide excellent service to make sure you enjoy your stay, and there was a lovely hamper left for our arrival with locally sourced products. Although the house is well heated, the log burner in the large living room also makes for a lovely cosy evening. We hope to return in the future.
