Lovely little place! Visited after an early sunrise hike up Blencathra for a much needed brew! Fell off my chair much to the amusement of my Mrs. Ignore the angry boomer review below who rated it one star just for not being open when he wanted to go

Dont rely on this place being open like we did. We are doing the cycling C2C route and we thought this was a good place to get refreshments en route. However, we arrived in good weather, on a day when they were meant to be open (at least according to Google) and they were shut. There are very few places between Keswick and Penrith where you can buy refreshments, so be advised to bring yours with you.

Absolutely Delectable cheese scone and lovely coffee. There was also a lovely selection of homemade preserves for sale

Lovely local tea room offering a good selection of savoury and sweet treats. The raspberry scone I had was absolutely fabulous! Lorraine and her husband made us feel at home. The views from their garden and the calming sound of the creek nearby made it even more special. Definitely a highlight if youre in the area!

Lorreine's Tea Room was one of the highlights of our C2C trip! The food was delicious, the scones divine and Lorreine and her husband were delightful company. Would definitely recommend to everyone.
