Little Elms Greenwich Nursery and Pre-School

Little Elms Greenwich have been excellent in accommodating my requests of delaying our start due to my extended maternity and switching my daughters days due to change in my work schedule. Something I didnt need to stress about when going back to work! She received four days of free two hour settling sessions prior to starting. Staff were really comforting when they could see she had some separation anxiety in the beginning and were very reassuring to both her and me. At the last settle session, I hung around on the staircase listening - after initial tears at goodbye, she stopped crying immediately after I left. Overall, Little Elms has an excellent reputation amongst our neighbours and friends in Greenwich - it was an easy choice.

Nursery is a critical step in a child's development however I moved my child away from this nursery for the following reasons: 1. Children left crying and not comforted. 2. Poor communication with management. 3. Behaviour issues of other children were not addressed. 4. Junior staff are over worked and exhausted. Overall, the environment was too busy and authoritative to provide the pastoral care my child deserved for the price charged.

My son comes home so happy after nursery, he loves playing with his friends. I am very grateful to the nursery team.

My son joined Little Elms around Jan-22, we went on holiday in for all of Nov-22 so had to de-register and re-join again in Dec-22. The room manager provided us with the re-settling in sessions but the nursery manager failed to deliver the details to us and that was disappointing. We asked the manager for extra sessions for December (no phone was picked up, no email response, no show on famly app). I asked her in person twice she said she was busy, internet was not working and it was not ready yet. Sometimes I booked for extra sessions as it showed as available on the distributed list. However when I called to check why no response or confirmation from my booking the manager said it was not booked because staff are taking holiday. I dont understand they showed on the system was available or did not respond to me. Once I was there 6 mins early but she didnt let us in due to ratio requirement, but she let another parent in early. I actually was planning to increase him as a full time in Owls room but the nursery manager didnt want more students. I feel sorry for the staff who are working hard but have to deal with an unprofessional manager which I assume is a reason for the high staff turnover.

We are extremely happy with the teachers and staff of Little Elms Greenwich. Our daughter didn't start speaking until she was 2.5 years. As I was very worried and kept talking to them about my concerns, they were not only guiding me how to get help in this country but also started to note down any word she would say during the day and shared the list with us to encourage us. Our daughter is a very picky eater and wouldnt eat well at home, so her teacher took the extra effort to create a document to include all her favorite food and how I should present it to her to her to encourage her earing. Our daughter loves to go to Little Elms and we are also very happy with the love and care our daughter gets from everyone in Little Elms. I would always recommend this nursery to all parents.
