The exterior fabric a medley of disparate remnants from different eras with the interior largely gutted in WWII. A gloomy charnel house, churchyard, Christopher Marlowe association and the often referenced memento mori settled on the gate piers, conspire to conjure a memorable and evocative setting. Certainly warrants a detour if hereabouts. An active community here.
