The place looks great and I decided to have a slice of pistachio-raspberry cake with some hot chocolate.. Well l, the hot chocolate tasted literally like nothing.. not sweet, not salty, not chocolaty.. simply nothing.. Then I tried the so called cake,which was awful, the pistachio filling was hard and with little flavor, raspberry was the same and the base was constantly braking into smaller chunks. On top of that, two lady employees, were constantly sitting outside and smoking letting all the smoke come inside the cafe.. Such a disappointment.

We went to Arapina on recommendations from social media. The pastries looked very appealing and we are both pastry lovers. We visited on the day of the London marathon so it was very busy. As such I have tried not to let that impact my review. The coffee was good. The cinnamon bun was nice and chewy but had lots of icing. Some people may like this but I personally would have preferred less icing. The chocolate croll looked better than it tasted. It was very dry and the chocolate filling wasnt creamy as we were expecting and instead was quite hard. Its worth saying that the service was fantastic and the staff are very friendly. We would definitely return again to try some different treats but might dodge the chocolate croll. Thanks, Arapina!
