Lucas Avenue Practice

Although I gave the practice a good review when I first joined, unfortunately, I have found them disappointing in many ways. There are some good clinical and administrative staff but the quality is not consistent and even bad at times. I also find the Dr IQ appointment system frustrating, you don't know if you will get to speak to someone.

This used to be a good practice but have gone downhill the last couple of years. There is no way you can get the Dr. IQ app working properly, i havent been able to talk or see the doctor for a couple of problems i called in for. Even at 8 o clock you can wait on the phone line and 20 minutes later be told that there are no appointments available and you have to wait for two weeks or call 111! There is something wrong with the practice as there are not enough doctors and you end up being referred to clinicians all the time. Reception is full of young kids who dont know or dont care about the patients. Dont take advice from them about anything, one of them was positive i should continue taking the medicine until the package finished ! (very heavy medicine that was given to me as a full package from the pharmacy by mistake). YOU SHOULD BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN YOU REPLY TO QUESTIONS ABOUT MEDICINE LUCAS AVENUE PRACTICE; im really disappointed and i will be changing practice

I had an appointment with the Social Prescriber Kukuwa. She was so professional and helpful. She spend so much time with me, listened to me very keenly and offered help. She did not just gave suggestions, she found out all the kind of support I can get helped in applying for the right ones. Speaking to her was so relaxing and I felt so much better. Would definitely recommend her services 10/10.
