The VW Camper Company Ltd

I have nothing but praise for the VW Camper Company Ltd. They were the first company I entrusted our T25 to when we bought it several years ago .They re-conditioned the engine , replaced the radiator ,replaced the petrol tank and ancillaries and sorted the gearchange mechanism. Plus many other small jobs leaving me with a roadworthy and trustworthy camper which has taken us to France ,Ireland and the Isle of Man . At every stage I was consulted on what was found and what needed doing .As an experienced owner and restorer of old cars I appreciated the respect they gave me as a customer and the time they took to discuss matters with me. Nothing was too much trouble . I enjoy my visits to Greatworth and I trust the staff completely to give me back our camper in better condition than it was when I left it with them. Took my bus in due to fuel in the oil only to be told no fuel present, push rods replaced at a massive cost only for seals to fail again (DUE TO FUEL IN THE OIL) fuel breather installed and set over the exhaust (FIRE HAZARD) now just saying a bad engine build and my problem and have no more time to investigate. Took to another company who sorted all the poor work carried out at the Camper Co and not surprisingly stated Im not the first to come over. As a result I had enough and sold the bus (once it was sorted by a professional) Thanks for nothing Camper Co, I look forward to your garbage reply. See you in court !!!

Took my van here as my usual company were too busy to even look at it. Friendy company who do an excellent job BUT: Hours spent on labour were double the original estimate and at 80.00 / hour + vat this soon mounts up to a LOT of money. They clearly inflate the costs of parts and consumables used eg. fitted a new silencer at a cost of 190.00+vat. I did a quick check on-line and found the same part for 161.75 inc. vat+delivery. They charge an extra fee to pay by credit card. It is obvious how they can offer their clean and spacious premises, They are located in the middle of nowhere and yet offer no assistance with transport. They refused to give me a lift to the nearest bus stop and insisted on ordering me a taxi. This took an age to arrive and cost 20.00 to go 6 miles. When I collected the vehicle I decided to walk, a much more pleasent experience. I would only use there guys again if I won the lottery or had no other choice.
