Worst hotel we have ever stayed in, badly need more staff, bell pull broke, it was not mended they just put a spot light in the room that was blindingly bright, main bulb wattage was so low couldn't see to do makeup or dry hair properly, a lot of things you normaly get in other hotels,eg donot disturb signs, no heat in some rooms, my friends meal had just 2 of the smallest pieces of turkey I've ever seen, they had no idea what Turkey Tinsel meant, entertainment was finished by 10/30pm..this is just a few things,

4day bus trip...Nice break but could be better Room Twin bed room was very clean and warm. Furniture functional and adequate. Ensuite ok towels very small but clean. Water very hot and with a faulty temp control was a little unsafe. Floor very sloping , interesting after a drink. Food Breakfast excellent Dinner very small and usually only warm or cold...could be so much better with a little effort. Staff pretty good and friendly. Bar. Staff great and friendly Drinks,no draft supply cash only purchases for tins. No till function (addition in bar maids head) so prices and total very changeable through an evening. Entertainment Pretty good singer Lift and stairs Tiny lift for 2 people only ...very old fashioned and frankly inadequate and dangerous. Trapped fingers in concertina inner door with very powerful spring. Didn't come at all if outer door wasn't quite shut to. Stairs very steep to from 2nd to 3rd floor. No disabled access to hotel.
