Sea Chef

Food was really nice, but went to use there toilet later in the day before me and my partner got the little train back to seashore caravan park, the lady who was in there said we dont have any toilets sorry but I had used to the toilet when I was in there earlier in the day, so she lied to my face, also doesnt help that Im 6months pregnant and was dying for the toilet. Not impressed.

Extraordinary fish and chips restaurant. Very helpful welcome. After getting and table, you have to order on the counter and they give you a number. When food is ready they shout the table number and you put your hand up. Food is extremely good. The fish is one of the best ever and the salad main dish is very generous. Not a big amount of chips in the only one choice size which it is supposed to be large but they are very nice. Well located by the beach, very recommended.

Been coming to GY for over 12 years now and have never used the Sea Chef. I guess the main reason is it looks a little bit dated decor wise and is hidden away slightly unless you use the access to the pier. However on our latest visit we gave it a try.. On entering we were immediately approached by a member of staff who asked us if we intended to dine in or take out. Take Out we said and he directed us to the counter and liased with the counter staff. This was quite impressive for a seaside chippy: to have a meet and greet on entrance. Our order was taken and were told of a short wait as the items we had requested were cooked from fresh. Our food arrived and it was great. Nice chips. Hot and a good portion. The seating areas looked ok too, very clean and we witnessed some ongoing cleaning and good housekeeping practices. The place could do with a good decor revamp but apart from this minor niggle we reckon we've found our new favourite chippie in GY..

The food was good and hot, portion was not brilliant had the large fish and chips I won't of really classed large but still was tasty. The 2 staff members were fantastic who do the dining area there very funny, and the hot choc was lovely Thank you
