Jasmine Cottage Bed and Breakfast

Whilst looking for a suitable b&b in Suffolk we stumbled across this recently opened little gem quite by chance and I must say I am very glad we found it. We were greeted by the owners on arrival who went out of their way to be helpful and friendly. Having stayed at quite a few b&bs in the past some of which were of a very high standard we were really bowled over by this one and it came as a welcome change that this is almost a self contained cottage rather than the usual bedroom with en-suite and maybe a limited amount of refreshments that one would expect. Not so here, as you not only have a beautifully presented bedroom and en-suite bathroom but a living room complete with flat screen tv, sofa and armchair and also a dining area which looks out onto the delightful garden through the double doors. Alongside the kettle, there is even a small fridge containing milk and spring water and we were given tea, coffee, hot chocolate, home made biscuits fresh each day. Perhaps the icing on the cake (for us anyway) is that you are served breakfast in the dining area so there is none of that rushing to the communal breakfast room that you get in other b&bs. Breakfast for us, was a full English which was delicious but there is an array of cereal, fresh fruit, yoghurt etc; we were asked what we wanted and given a choice of what type of egg wed like our hosts were really charming and knowledgeable about the area and where to visit. Furnished and decorated to a very high standard, there is even an outdoor swimming pool if that floats your boat! Situated conveniently near to historic Lavenham we were very pleased with our choice. This place comes heartily recommended and we will certainly go back when visiting the area.
