I had a VW cambelt replaced here several years ago, about 10 months later the car made a horrendous noise and stopped. The AA recovery attended and diagnosed two broken engine mounting bolts that suspend the engine. The first question the AA asked was " Have you had the Cambelt replaced in the last year " I answered yes at great expense.I was told this was typical of the engine mounting bolts not being set to the correct tightening torque. ( mechanic did not bother to use torque wrench) . I had the recovered to this place, the broken bolts were replaced and I was charged for the priviledge of having the first poor workmanship put right a second time, no apology, never gone back.they have lost hundreds of pounds of my custom as a result of NOT being able to use a torque wrench correctly.
