Great Torrington School

This school has left me and many others traumatised, the mental health system put in place is not efficient enough. Poor and low quality care to people identifying as the LGBTQ+ They are given dirty looks by teachers, (specifically PE teachers). This school is very close minded. The system they have in place is outdated and very poor. Do not send your children here. This school could have better potential but its permanently traumatised me and other student(s). They do nothing about bullying either, Its disgusting. They preach about mental health but when it comes to someone struggling and having a breakdown in the corridor or toilets, youre threatened with MR1 which is an after school detention. This place is riddled with homophobia, transphobia, racism you name it. This place does not live up to its title and I rate this school inadequate

A brilliant all round comprehensive secondary school. It's been more than a few years since i went there but it was highly rated then. These days the school is in the top 5% for academic progress. They just need to prioritise local children from the town before others with regards to obtaining a place here. Recommended.
