Thurlow Garage

I have used Thurlow a couple of times and they seem to be a generally good garage . However, I was disappointed by the quality of the Shaftec parts used in the replacement of the offside driveshaft. When the car was returned to me there was still a knocking noise coming from the drivers side footwell and on inspection I was surprised at how badly corroded the new driveshaft is - especially as the car has only been driven a handful of times due to lockdown. You can see from the photos that the new part is badly corroded. I have attached a photo of the nearside (grey) for comparison, which is at least four years old and barely rusted at all. I understand that these parts are remanufactured, but they are supposed to be restored to the original standard and at around 200, it was quite a lot to pay and be left with the same problem.

Really good customer service. We had a medical issue which made driving impossible and they picked up my car for a service and MOT and returned once completed. Really fantastic service and not overpriced like any main dealer. Thanks for the customer service.
