Time wasters, asked them twice for a quote which they promised and never supplied. They didnt have the common decency to say they were too busy or didnt want to do the work

Grandstand have just completed some fairly extensive bodywork repairs on my 1993 Mercedes, which required, amongst other things, fabrication of new body parts which are no longer available, plus treatment of rusty areas, and associated respraying. At every step in the process, they kept in touch with me, and on occasions I was invited back to their premises so that problems could be discussed and decisions made on the best way forward. A very professional business, from start to completion - and the end product did not disappoint me!

My E type Jaguar had been laid up for a number of years and the paintwork from the original restoration in 1986 had deteriorated considerably due to quality of the preparation used at that time. Grandstand undertook a bare metal re-spray and re-commissioned the car involving considerable electrical and some mechanical work.. The resulting paintwork standard is fantastic and a number of panel fit defects from the original rebuild were corrected to an exacting standard. If you want work carried out on your car to an exceptional and meticulous standard both with regard to bodywork and mechanical and electrical aspects , I cannot recommend Grandstand too highly. Their hourly rates are very reasonable but allow for their attention to detail in the timescales required. The are exceptionally nice people to work with across the board and welcome visits during the work programme and discussions with all the exceptional craftspeople involved as well as management.

I was looking for somewhere to undertake some body work/dent and paint repairs. I spoke to several garages to get a range of quotes etc. Kelvin took the time to show me around their facilities, cars and work they are doing; which was all very impressive. A real mix of classics from Astons, Lancias, Ferraris etc. (Its not often you see new panels being hand made anymore!) We talked through what I was trying to achieve and what work would be required. They provided a quote promptly which seemed fair and we booked the car in. It proved to be a bit more of a job than any of us realised. But their honesty and attention to detail was second to none as was their communication through the entire process. The end result is fantastic. I have no hesitation in recommending these guys. They are so easy to deal with and their work is fantastic; a real find of a company.
