        A1 was shut so we was diverted to this bridge / area...Looked a lovely surrounding area and the bridge looks awesome and the toll is very reasonable

        Historic toll bridge. Single track so it can be interesting if you meet another vehicle coming towards you. Plans afoot to put traffic lights in. The surface of the bridge is wooden so it clickety clacks as you drive across. I tell my GD that it is the trolls bridge in Three Billy Goats Gruff, the toll collectors are the trolls. It currently costs 40p to cross, cards are accepted.
