Darren is the best painter and decorator weve had in years. The finish hes able to achieve is astounding. He is a veritable encyclopaedia of paint, including preparation, advice on paint brands and coats required. Hes very methodical and always puts in a good days work. We wouldnt use anyone else.

Darren provided a professional and efficient service. Our exterior paintwork had not been touched since we moved in and extensively updated our property in 2017; it was the final finish we were looking for after renovation, extension and a new front wall, steps and capped pillars. The stonework was flaky and cracked and brickwork, exposed when the fore-garden was removed, was a patchwork of peeling black painted areas, and bare redbrick. The side elevation had been painted by previous owners when a carport was present. We'd considered fetching sandblasting the old paint but were advised this might compromise the weatherproofing of the original bricks. We discussed everything with Darren and once we'd come up with a colour scheme he made a start. We had a further issue with a gable end-a roof timber had to be investigated so Darren arranged scaffolders for us, and on investigation, we found the timbers to be in a poor state of affair, which meant enlisting a carpenter. Darren was very patient and allowed us to sort the roof issues before coming back to apply filler, knotting, primer and top coats to the new timbers. I would thoroughly recommend Darren Jones and will be getting him back (when he's available-he's busy!) to add some colour to our internal decor. Thanks Darren.
