We used Russell and Co following the death of our father. Having never had to deal with the probate process, we needed a company that knew what they were doing and would guide us through the process. We had a single point of contact even though we worked with multiple solicitors. Without exception, everything was dealt with in a professional and sensitive manner and the costs at each stage of work were transparent. As a result of the experience that we have had, we are now using Russell and co for other legal work that we have.

Ignored Our Emails! Soon after our Commercial Property Sale was completed, we just needed the necessary exc of contracts date from our Solicitor and her Assistant. This simple request should only take a few seconds to do by email (it should have been supplied anyway) but they just ignored us. Seems a bit obstinate. We emailed on 25th Feb and again 2nd Mar but no reply at all. 3rd Mar still no reply, so I had to phone in. No one would take my call, but I finally managed to get this date, from the helpful Receptionist after much persistence. Funnily enough, shortly after my call, they managed to find the time to send a reply. But we may still get a HMRC fine for being late because we did not have this date sooner. Also, I believe the final bill was calculated wrongly and we have overpaid. I have emailed the Solicitor and Office Manager about this but so far not even had the courtesy of an acknowledgement. I expect they will respond to this review much quicker than they will to me.

I have been dealing with Russell and co. For a few years now, I can honestly say on each occasion they have always been very friendly, professional & helpful. An excellent firm . I would highly recommend.
