        Alan's services are in demand so we had to wait until he was able to begin on our19th century oil painting. The painting had a lot of overpainting so was cracked and paint was flaking off. The ornate frame was also missing large chunks. Alan removed the overpainting, stabilised the canvas and renovated the frame. We are delighted with the restoration work and would highly recommend his services.

        I needed an oil painting of a seascape and I successfully bid for one on line. When I received the painting I was disappointed with its condition so I took it to Alan Brown for restoration and re-framing. I was delighted with the result, the colours were again vibrant and the frame he chose added a new dimension to the painting.
