Having moved to the area a couple of years ago, I have loyally supported my local village supermarket, despite cheaper large stores located in towns nearby. It is rare that they win over customers such as myself. At least the owners of these large chains do not sit in wait for their customers and chastise them for using their car park ( I used it for approx. 10 minutes ) . I had just used the Loco spending just under 20 as I do on regular occasions. When I parked there was just one other car parked. After loading my car I ran around the corner for just minutes to the bakers. On my return a man who I presume (could be wrong ) was the owner waiting by my car. He approached me, pointed at a sign and said Have you read that ?! As soon as I pointed out that I had just spent 20 in Loco his demeanor changed and he said he was joking. If he spent more time learning about customer service and interacted nicely with his until now loyal customer rather sitting in the back room scouring his tv screens for parking infractions, then maybe he will stop losing regulars (and their families and friends). He could learn a thing or two from the shop floor workers who are actually very friendly. Will not return even if it means driving into town.

Helpful ??? NOT AT ALL Why offer a DPD drop off service and then refuse to do the job? If they don't want to be the depot then they should let someone else have a go, don't be so greedy. I pre-paid for a service, drove to Great Eccleston, carried my parcels into the shop, got a snooty reception and had to carry them out again - apparently scanner problems, but in reality because it takes up space and requires handling and is probably not be as profitable as a bar of overpriced chocolate! I then took my parcels to Garstang COOP, no problem at all, with scanner or space, very friendly and helpful IN DEED. I hope that there will be more shops in Great Eccleston soon to cater for the occupants of all those new built houses - a bit of competition will either put the LOCO right or shut it down - I won't be sorry if the latter
