The Stables at The Starr Inn

What can I say, the room was lovely clean and beautifully designed. A lot of down points. We arrived at 1530 after a two and half hour drive we were despy for a cuppa but there were no cups in the room, as the pub is closed ( the star inn) we could only get hold of house keeping via mobile, to be fair although they didn't answer my call they did respond straight away to a text to say the cups would be there in around an hour, which was a pity as we were going out at 1630. The next fail was the bed had been stripped from previous guests but not made on arrival., This was recitified when we had the cups delivered but we had already gone out. Then there is the shower, now my husband is not exceptionally tall he is 5 11 around average for a male but he couldn't fit under the shower, once standing in the bath the shower head was level with his shoulders. All of the previous we could almost ignore however the two last things are what made our stay the least enjoyable... The room above us we could here everything, it seemed they were in the room with us, and lastly our window was right on the road and I mean right on the road no pavement just cars going passed right outside window... This was horrendous. For the money we paid to have a nice romantic weekend away first weekend from restrictions being fully released we both agreed that a premiere inn would have been better. We won't be back.

Nice room but palaver finding key Staff/owner not on site About to leave and get room nearby for travel from Stansted Luckily, other guest helped us by passing us and spotting our predicament Got us key from coreec safe, as there are two Turned out wrong information sent by hotel Really ruined whole experience for us
