I had my colours and style done a couple of years ago and have never looked back. I did one of Laras workshops on autumn recently. It was so good! She refreshed all my knowledge and gave me some really good pointers about what to wear close to my face, how to present myself on zoom who knew you had to brighten up so much to make any impact on the screen - and how to utilise some of the more neutral shades in my palette And make friends with the one I have ignored. 2 hours for 25 was an absolute gift! It was so good to have my colour re rate with Lara. I felt very safe going to the studio and Lara had taken every necessary precaution to make the experience Covid safe - we even did lateral flow tests prior to the session! I knew that I was in a rut with my colour choices, having had my colours done four years ago, so Lara really challenged me to embrace different combinations of my wow colours and to wear colours that I currently do not own. I feel another wardrobe sort coming on! Thank you Lara, I am definitely going to embrace what we discussed and it was lovely to see you after so long.

Spending time with Lara over zoom was amazing! Not only is she incredibly skilled at color and style, Lara was easy and fun to work with. I particularly appreciated how honest and direct she was about both color and style. I left feeling more confident not just about what colors and styles I can invest in, but also how to wear the colors, styles and accessories I currently have.

I have never paid very much attention to my appearance too many other things to think about so I didnt really know what to expect from a session with Lara. I wasnt sure what was going to be involved but I trusted Lara after a year of meeting her in zoom networking sessions so I was curious rather than nervous. After a year of being almost entirely at home, crossing the bridge to go into England from Wales felt almost like a holiday. I found Laras home easily. The area is stunning and although it is in the countryside, my satnav was spot on. Laras studio is amazing its perfect for the work she does, so light and airy and Lara gave me a really warm welcome. After asking me some questions, she explained the principle of wearing the right colours and matching them to your individual colouring. She put a cape on me, similar to what you wear in the hairdressers, and started the process of deciding what season I am. She held different colour scarves under my chin and showed me the effect on my skin tone, eye colour and general appearance. I could clearly see that white makes me look ill whereas cream makes me look healthy, and it turns out Im a spring! Lara then gave me a makeup lesson, showing me the right colours and teaching me how to get it done in one minute so no more excuses about not having time! We moved on to working out my wow colours the colours I can wear top to toe from within the spring range. Lara gave me fantastic little wallet with swatches of the colours I should be wearing that I can take with me when shopping, and even put gold stars on my wow colours as a reminder. Thinking about my wardrobe, I realised I had none of these colours in there, so she fired up the laptop and we did some shopping together, with her helping me find some basics to get my new capsule wardrobe started. Lara has also given me follow-up help she has sent me links to items online she thinks would work for me, and I have sent her photos of things I have found for her to give her seal of approval to. I left feeling so much better just because an expert had told me what I should be doing Im good at following rules. I cant use not knowing what to do as an excuse for not bothering to look presentable any more, and I cant thank Lara enough for taking a person who really lacked confidence and making her feel so much better.

Oh my word Lara is absolutely amazing!! I had a bit of an idea of what colour analysis was, but I had such an informative, fun, educational and supportive day that it was utterly outstanding! From arriving to beautiful artisan crafted sausage rolls, shortbread & flapjacks and lovely coffee and an enthusiastic welcome, to a thorough assessment, Lara just instantly put me at ease whilst taking supportive, confident control of the proceedings. We moved into learning about colour and after a little breather to let me process this new knowledge Lara began her magic and by lunchtime I began to understand my colour season. After a stunning lunch which was relaxed, fun and informal, it was back to the chair to discover the colours that worked best for me and my wow's as well as what colours I could look good in without compromising on my new-found season! Then an unexpected swatch wallet with my seasons' colours, a folder outlining what we had covered, a 'next-steps' action plan, and a make-over with the make up in my skin tone and seasons' colours. It was way more than I was expecting and so helpful. I left Lara wishing that I could have spent even longer with her as her knowledge of colour is outstanding, her warmth, encouragement and enthusiasm is infectious, and she not only know's her stuff but she teaches you how to embrace your own confidence in your own colours. It does take a lot to impress me these days, and I am so pleased to be able to offer a review of her services because it was quite frankly outstanding. What made it even more so was the follow up portfolio of my before and after photos, the time she had taken to locate clothes, shoes and accessories in my colours for me in the shops familiar to me and some new ones. It just gave me total confidence in being able to now locate the right colours for me and know that I'll look amazing in them. She has invigorated my enthusiasm o much so that I have now booked to go on her Personal Style 1-2-1. I don't make promises lightly but I can categorically say that by the time you have had the Lara Lauder experience you will be confident, transformed and empowered to stand in your true colours!
