    Scott was the letting agent for a property I rented, ending in July 2021. I have been a renter for a while now and my recent experience of renting through SCR Lettings has definitely been the best one. As someone else has mentioned, Scott is a rare type of letting agent. He doesnt automatically side with the landlord no matter what but takes any issue into consideration and acts very fairly and ethically. I was lucky not to have too many issues with my recent rental house but this could also be due to the fact that Scott also makes sure to take on trustworthy landlords. I would not hesitate to recommend SCR Lettings to renters, landlords, or anyone buying or selling a house, independent agents are the way to go!

Ive known Scott professionally for over a decade and have always without exception found him very helpful and an excellent conduit between tenant and landlord. Ive known him go the extra few miles to ensure a happy result for all parties, regardless of how small the issue - if its important to the tenant or to the landlord, he acts to resolve it straightaway. Scott knows his business well and willingly shares his expertise to assist people. His tenants are fortunate to be able to rely on his guidance and support. Scott is hardworking, ethical, honest and responsible, a rare gem in the industry, and I would trust him wholeheartedly to manage any property of mine.

    LANDLORDS AND TENANTS AVOID AT ALL COSTS Scott is a rogue agent operating with zero accountabilityfor his actions and currently being SUED for illegally not protecting deposits and pocketing tenants' money. IF YOU ARE A TENANTIT IS HIGHLY LIKELY HE HAS NOT PROTECTED YOUR DEPOSIT> you could be due compensation. Please check with Deposit Protection Service, MyDeposits and Tenancy Deposit Scheme as this is illegal and incrediblyeasy to find out. He has been removing my review. Please note the date of this review as there will miraculously be many 'real' positivereviews to follow imminently. After I personally contacted the tenants it was obvious Scott had been constantlyplayingboth parties off against each other even advisingtenants to sue the landlord(his client of 3 years). Ironically, after I shared the reports from all 3 national depositschemeshe's the one being sued! Scott flat out refuses to provide SCR Sales and Lettings' company information. No company number and the trading address is incorrect with invoices sent out? Landlords: If he currently managed your property - immediately get a managementcontract stipulating his responsibilities. He said 'his clients trust him enough not to have management contracts in place outlining what he does for his fees or liable for' and he had the cheek to say 'the tenancy agreement was not specific to this property and he wasn't liable'.
