Moorhouse Nursing Home

My father has been a resident at Moorhouse Nursing home for six years and repeatedly tells me how happy he is. The garden and surroundings are second to none. More importantly the staff, in the majority, have been there for a long time, treating the residents as they would their own family and Moorhouse as an extension of their own home. The attention to cleanliness, dietary requirements and individuality are first class and creating activities and diversity to keep my father as alert and cheerful as he can be I applaud. They have kept my father safe during this pandemic putting their own lives on the line and my respect for the staff who I know personally is beyond words. It is a hugely difficult decision to put your parent into care, but I do not think there could be a safer or happier place. It was originally recommended to me by my local GP and I know various members of the practice have used Moorhouse for respite, convalescent and long term care for their own parents ...there could be no higher compliment to the staff and the atmosphere of Moorhouse.
