It is noisy; feels like a school canteen; they ran out of forks; drinks were confusing; staff werent too friendly; BUT it is yummy and cheap and fun! :)

I'm not too fussed about exploring every crevice of IKEA, my aim is to get to the restaurant and have some plant-based meatballs! Unfortunately, these have soya in, which my son has an intolerance to, so cannot have them. Fortunately, IKEA have chicken-less strips but we found out that these are only available from the bistro downstairs. The bistro looked like hell's waiting room. It was a mess. You have to order your food at a touchscreen but for any allergy advice you need to speak to a person. We approached a person who then directed us to another screen. He wasn't allowed to give us allergy advice in case he gets it wrong. This would be fine if the screen was working. To my disappointment the plant-based meatballs were not available from the bistro. They have vegetable balls instead. When the food arrived it was luke-warm but after our poor experience with staff we couldn't see a reason in complaining. The coating on the chicken was good but the vegetable balls are bland. Tea and coffee was unlimited and free but there was only 1 machine working and condiments, etc. were all over the place so I felt like I was taking part in the Crystal Maze trying to find everything I needed. That said, the black coffee was good. I feel that 13.55 is too cheap for three meals and drinks plus a side. I would rather pay slightly more for better service.

It used to be a good place to go but not anymore. Too crowded and no variety in food.
