Phoned at 8am to make an appointment. Waited listening to their answer machine for 30 minutes then had an automated message stating that their lines are busy and to call back later. Called back and whilst I was calling them I visited them to make an appointment face to face. None of the receptionists were answering the phone yet I was still waiting in a queue on the phone. Told by the receptionist to try again tomorrow. Utter disgrace.

I have been with this practice for over 15 years, unfortunately the recent services provided lately, few years back now, totally appalling. I have been struggling to have a face to face consultation with my doctor without any success. You're asked to make early call from 08:00 that won't be answered but constantly answering busy. When you're eventually answered, there won't be space to see any doctor. My medication needs review from blood test carried out, 2 weeks after the result, I haven't been called by the doctor and haven't been successful in booking an appointment with a doctor, even to have phone call consultation. This is unacceptable and ridiculous.

I waited 30 minutes to try to get through to a receptionist, only to be told with an automated recorded voice that they are experiencing a high volume of calls and to call back later-twice! I then proceeded to be cut off! In a previous experience, I had to wait 2 weeks just for an appointment to hear my blood test results! Crazy! I feel the need to highlight that the doctors here have been wonderful when I get to see them, and equally, the main nurse is one of most caring and knowledgeable, but unfortunately these professionals are not even able to provide their services! No wonder a&e is the publics new GP! In turn, this only makes matters worse for the patients needing emergency treatment in the local hospitals, and for the poor staff trying to manage an impossible, and rapidly worsening situation.

I have attended this surgery for most of my life seeing me through many health problems and I cant thank them enough for all they have done. Yes it can be tedious to call up and be on hold for an appointment but you get this anywhere you go. What matters is the service and care they provide, which I can never fault. You do also tend to get the nurse if the doctor is fully booked. The nurse then refers you to the doctor if she cant help the same or next day. Lovely ladies when you call up always go above and beyond to help. Dr Basu has always been very thorough and understanding. The reason I write this review now is that they have just helped my newborn son. A very stressful time not being supplied enough medication from the hospital they have acted quickly to get him both registered and his medication prescribed. Cant thank them enough!
