It has dropped since I was last here. Before it was called Stifford it was a really nice place for dinner and breakfast. Now the food and drinks are extremely overpriced . Didn't even get beans with breakfast; though it is stated on the menu. The waitress didn't come back after serving in fact we didn't see anyone till we had finished the meal. Not what it used to be. The rooms are basic. The tv; which was covered in dust, was so out of date I couldn't connect my hard drive plus there were no usb charging points. When you pay high rates you expect the basic amenities. The only saving grace was the friendliness of the staff. Extremely helpful. Couldn't do enough for you; except our breakfast server. Won't be visiting again. Shame cause it's where we held our wedding reception, it truly was a great place then. Rooms: Very basic. Get more from a Premier Inn.

Nice hotel in a quiet village location. The room had everything needed for a business trip for a few nights. Being a vegetarian is still sometimes a chore but a seperate menu was available, although you had to ask for it as it wasn't mentioned. The food was good & the passion fruit cheesecake is a must have dessert if available. The staff were friendly & helpful & the stay was good value for money. I would recommend this as a place to stay if asked.
