We had done 6 days of work, and a guy named Michael, company manager and as he called himself an enginner, which I hardly doubt, decided to appear on site and check a pattress of ours. Apparently he didn't approved them as the mastic wasn't installed on the back of the Rockwool detail, though it's not shown in the spec to do it, cause rockwool mastic is expanding so it would even push pattress away from board if installed on the back. Michael straight went into argument and didn't want to listen or sort it out like a civilised being, his reason to install mastic on the back of the pattress on Rockwool detail was his mentioned 25 years of experience in Fire Stopping and him, never done a pattress without back of it installed with mastic (even though it's not in the Rockwool specification). All our job were done to a highest criteria and following Rockwool spec. Job that we done were recorded by their given supervisor which had to check our work and approve it, what he did. Eventually didn't got paid by the company KDK FIRE PROTECTION LTD., who works with HILLMORE FIRE PROTECTION LTD. This is just part of the story and my personal experience with them, but I hope I made my point. Both mentioned companies seems dodgy, so highly recommend to avoid them if you don't want to work for free.
