What a waste of time!! Applied through UCAS, it took them ages to process my application. I had to phone them several times, no one ever picks up the phone. Had to email them asking please either decline or accept my application, as I was losing time. When they finally accepted, It took them another month to arrange an interview. I was applying late. Didn't get an offer from them ,thankfully; but by then, it was too late to apply to other providers. AVOID IF YOU CAN.

Excellent providers; I trained with Educate last year and would recommend them to anyone who is crazy-but-wonderful enough to want to teach. Training sessions were inclusive and varied and my link tutor, who visited me for moderation visits, was incredible. They supported me greatly in finding my first teaching job, as well.

Caution. I fell out with these clowns due to some absurd company policy not documented anywhere which they said made my DBS certificate invalid (cast iron fact: it was perfectly valid). They had asked me to apply for it early, then they said it was out of date. Totally absurd. They appear to love their petty procedures and patronising 'guidance'. I was within a few weeks of starting my placement, but eventually felt that I had no choice but to withdraw. The final straw was an outrageously snotty email from the Head of ITT, whose job title misrepresents the reality that Educate is merely an administrative service (a bad one) and is just outsourcing the actual Initial Teacher Training to local schools consortiums. My advice is to look elsewhere. You will be investing a lot of hard work and money in your training year, so choose the right provider on your UCAS form.
