    Excellent service ! Throughout our sale the team at Charles Dyson were so super helpful and answered all our questions thoroughly. We had our valuation with David and within 24 hours the house was on the market. Viewings were arranged efficiently and to suit our needs around work and other commitments. The sale ran smooth thanks to them highly recommend !

    Beware of a clause in their Sales Contract Having used this letting agent for 8 years in which they offered superb service, I had no reason to doubt that their sales' service would be the same. The sales side of their business is a very small part and has been naturally created because of when landlords wish to sell their properties. Firstly, when I received their Sales's contract, I noted an unusual clause which stated " in the event of them finding you a buyer and it not proceeding to completion you would still be liable for the full fee" Before signing the contract I questioned it thinking if for example if the property got down-valued and you had to pull out would you be liable and was assured, I would be fine. That was my only concern at that time, little did I know that once I had signed that contract and they had found me a buyer their service would be so appalling and they didn't careless because they knew they would be paid their full fee regardless because of that clause. Being predominately a letting agent that does very few sales, they didn't have at the time a qualified Sales Negotiator so guess what!! the Letting Agent who I had dealt with while I had let my property with them now became a Sales Negotiator and started handling the sale of my property. I wasn't happy about this and emailed my concerns to the one of the owners of Charles Dyson who assured me that she would oversee the process every step of the way, unfortunately, this didn't happen and the Letting Agent/ acting Sales Negotiator was left to her own devices. The implications of allowing someone unqualified to handle legal procedures could have had serious consequences. The Letting Agent/acting Sales Negotiator was trying to second guess the sales process and didn't know the correct questions to ask, this ended up causing total confusion for me and my buyer and delayed the sale. I ended up having to progress the sale myself because I knew otherwise it would never complete. Fortunately, I have 20 years' experience and was able to do this, however it took up a considerable amount of my time and caused me tremendous stress. Because she was causing so much confusion between the two solicitors,my buyer and myself, two weeks before completion I had to ask her not to contact all parties again and I would be emailing the owners of Charles Dyson once the completion had taken place. I had a feeling I wouldn't get any answers from them about the appalling service I had received and held back a small amount of their fee. I guessed right they wouldn't answer a single one of my question and used the excuse, I should have told them of my concerns before exchange of contracts, which they already knew about, or raised them between exchange and completion which there was only a two day window and by that time I was actually ill with the stress they had caused me. After competition I waited two weeks for them to respond to my questions which they refused to answer one single question and only responded by sending me a small claims court case, which was totally unprofessional on their part. Everyone deserves good customer service and deserves answers when a company has failed them so badly, but they refused blankly to answer one single question. I ended up sending the balance, but really wish I could have found the time to put my case forward, but I clearly didn't have the time. There are plenty of other agents locally, but if you do decide to chose this agent just be extremely cautious of that clause. The Letting Agent concerned has since completed an online course and has now qualified as a Sales Negotiator so that should help
