My son has been learning to play drums for many months and made a lot of progress with his teacher. He adored his teacher. These classes were essential for his education and socialisation as he has ADHD. One day my son made a bad joke during his 1:1 class. Sadly, the owner of the school became judgemental and excluded my 9 year old this week. Alan also was rude to me and demanded me to sit on all my son's classes in the presence of other parents. There were no legal references given. My son and I are heart-broken as it used to be his favourite place to go to. He used to buy and bring sweets for Sophie, Alan's partner. So if you child has any special needs at all - there is a good chance they will throw you child out if they simply don't like you or your child anymore. Their response on email was 'we just simply don't want to sell you classes anymore'. Also, if you dare to stand up for yourself - they will mock you and no apology will be given. It is simply unacceptable to treat your client in this manner. Nor it is acceptable to discriminate a child based on their disability.
