My mum and I recently stopped by Ted Baker, hoping to purchase a purse that my elderly mother had her heart set on. We arrived close to closing time at 6:45 pm but wanted to quickly check out the store before heading to our dinner reservation. We were hoping to find a location that was more accessible for my mother's wheelchair, and this store seemed like a good option. However, our experience was far from satisfactory. We felt rushed and unwelcome from the moment we stepped in. The staff made it clear that they were closing soon and wanted us out quickly. Despite explaining our situation and the fact that my mother needed extra time to move around, we were pushed out at 6:52 pm sharp and told that we needed to leave immediately. We were shocked by the lack of empathy and customer service. To make matters worse, when my mother asked if she could still purchase the purse that she had her eye on, the staff member coldly told her no and promptly locked the doors behind us. We were extremely disappointed with the attitude of the staff and felt like we were treated poorly. Whilst we understand that closing times need to be respected, we feel that the staff could have handled the situation with more care and understanding, especially given that we were customers with an elderly mother who needed assistance. We left feeling upset and disappointed, and we will not be returning to this location again.
