Dr Sharon Wong

During my last course of chemotherapy. I developed an allergic reaction to an ingredient in sun cream so my face started burning and peeling. I consulted Dr Sharon Wong. She straight away prescribed me with a cream which once applied calm down my skin. Within 3 days, my face stopped peeling and slowly recovering. She had also followed up after my treatment. I am really grateful for her prompt consultation and most importantly it recovered with new skin and the confidence to go out. I would highly recommend Dr Wong.

Wonderful and warm experience from start to finish. Appreciate Dr. Wong taking time to go over the diagnosis clearly and treatment options was just the right one for me without wasting time and money. Was referred over by my friend and can see why. Highly recommended.

I'm giving 3 stars because I really expect some form of skincare advice and overall health follow-up if you're treating severe acne. I was told by Dr Wong she doesn't do cosmetic dermatology, as if severe acne was cosmetic. It was the first time in my life I saw a dermatologist who never at least once mentioned anything skincare even a cleanser or products to sooth and be combined with roacutan. She did inject steroids on my cysts but only after I insisted a couple of times. I'm only writing this because it was very disappointing. The good thing is that the Roacutan did treat most of my cysts. But the comment about anything more than this being cosmetic didn't feel right.

I don't usually write negative things about people but I'm making an exception. In fact, this review is almost two years overdue. In a nutshell, I paid over 300 for 15 minutes with Sharon in her fancy office, only for her to tell me about how DHT minaturises the hair follicle with a drawing. It's the first thing anyone will learn upon google pattern hair loss. Unsurprisingly, she couldn't offer much other than the standard drug therapies (minoxidil and finasteride) which are readily available anywhere. I do remember discussing some mesotherapy but she didn't have it in her office. The saddest part was that wtwards the end, I began asking her more detailed questions which appeared to annoy her and she looked like she wanted to end the appointment there. If you are looking for a specialist in hair loss, Sharon is not it.

Dr Sharon Wong is an amazing doctor, she took so much time in listening to me and understanding my skin problem. She is very compassionate and very professional (she really does know her stuff!!) Not only has she cured my skin problem she has given back my confidents.
