I had the distinct pleasure of a week stay during September 2020, Somerset House was perfect:
- super hospitality by Geraldine & David
- free overnight parking in the nearby town car park, 50+ spaces, approx. 1.5 minute walk
- free daytime parking on nearby Rockford Road, approx. 3 minute walk
- super clean room, tidied everyday with teas/coffees refilled
- very good choice of inclusive breakfast options, also catering for gluten free bread
- very quiet, never heard other guests or outside traffic
- free and secure location to store my electric bike
- suggested cycle routes and other hints/tips
- 1 minute walk to Tesco, 3 minute walk to Co-Op
- less than 5 minute walk to promenade
- not a single negative or area for improvement
I have stayed in dozens of places on my travels, Somerset House most definitely a favourite, would highly recommend to all.
