I went to Marshchapel Primary School for a short time in the early 60's when Mr Cockerell was the teacher in the Junior School. My sister was in the Infants. My parents then sent myself and my brother to St Mary's in Grimsby as we were Catholics. Although I was only in both schools for a very short space of time, both schools were absolutely excellent and I was sorry to leave both.

My children go to the school one is in year 4 and the other reception they both love it there and have made some great friends. The federation works really well. I too have made some lifelong friends in the parents there. It's a fabulous village school.

I recently moved into the village of Grainthorpe and I for one am very pleased with school all the parents made me feel welcome and always included me on many conversations I never felt pushed out as like most school some parents have a better bond with each other but that's part of friendship I'm really pleased I came to this school my child was extremely behind when we joined but is now at is his ability all the staff are extremely pleasant and very approachable we also do lots of fundraising and hold open days for extra fun and educational for all children they also offer rap around care for the parents that have to go to work and all games played are educational I take my hat of to all at this school

My daughter has been at Grainthorpe school for 3 years, she absolutely loves it along with all the pupils and the teachers.. Since it has become a federation school along with two other local village schools it's lovely as the 3 schools interact with each other enabling the pupils to make more friends they have nice school trips out and the education and teaching is second to none.. All the parents are very friendly, and welcome everyone that joins our school I am very proud that my daughter attends this wonderful little village school.
