I have started taking my 6 year old once a week during school time. His sessions help ease the pressure of school, and especially the exhaustion of being neurodiverse in a mainstream class. I have seen him relax at Nicolas house and sometimes almost unravel. But it feels like this is another space where he can do what he needs, be himself. I drove home last week I felt like I was a better parent- the real person already inside was being met and valued for all the superpowers hidden in a diagnosis. So grateful for Nicolas care and expertise, and for helping give his space to learn who he is, not just feel like he is behind in learning how to read. I see his confidence growing in trying new things. I see it in his willingness to draw new shapes, and he even, with a friend and a bit of support to get started, went round and offered food to guests at an event. Tiny, yet monumental, successes!

If i could give Nicola 10 stars i would.I call her the SEN warrior! For several years i have been fighting schools for my daughter who has several diagnosis and i was not being listened to. It got to the point my daughter was signed off from school as her mental health deteriorated. Then i met Nicola, she listened and looked through all my paper work with a fine tooth comb and she felt my frustration. She has helped me apply for an EHCP application as i wasn't getting the support from the school. When this application was refused she helped me at mediation. She turned things around for us at that meeting and we are not just being listened to, but they have agreed to assess. I am extremely confident that we will get the EHCP. Thank you Nicola for all of your help and support!!

Nicola has the perfect balance between being professional and injecting fun in her teaching. I had the privilege of working with Nicola as her TA and watched first hand how she inspired and enthused even the most shy learners. She deeply cares for those she teaches and all those around her. Her greatest gift to others is the belief she has in them and in turn they have in themselves. Nicola will be the teacher her students remember forever.

If I could give 10 stars I would. Nicola at Learn 2 Shine has been amazing. I have used her services many times. I have attended art classes as a group and even 1:1. They are well planned, creative and inspiring. I always leave with loads of work, having tried new things and with a smile on my face! I've also used her screening test service for special needs which was really useful in gaining insight into the additional needs experienced. Nicola successfully established that Autism and Dyslexia were behind the difficulties meaning that we could go forward and access further support.
