We stopped here simply because if was on our route North, but was shocked how nice a pub it is. The staff are friendly, the beer was good and the chicken balti delightful.

We met with Family here last Sunday, 1st timers for Sunday Lunch and what a fantastic meal we had. They do a choice of 3 roasts, Beef, Pork and Turkey with all the trimmings and a great selection of seasonal vegetables, served with tasty gravy and a creamy leek sauce for the vegetables if you want to try it, why wouldn't you? There is also a pie of the day, a pasta dish and a vegetarian option for the main event. There were a choice of 6 starters and 6 deserts, all of which were sounding great. Myself and my Wife went for the sharing Cheese and Biscuits to find, 3 good size portions of cheese made up of Cheddar, smoked cheddar and Stilton, crackers, butter and pickled onion absolutely lovely way to finish a cracking meal. Would highly recommend this lovely village pub/restaurant will definitely be returning soon.
