A delightful church with some fascinating history. Lots of displays and information books available inside, along with a charming graveyard (complete with geocache!) Tea and coffee facilities are available self-service with a donation. Spent quite a long time browsing the various items on display with a nice cup of tea!

England's Queen Consort Elizabeth Woodville, is believed to have been born in Grafton Regis and, after a number of years being caught up in the turbulence of the Wars of the Roses, it's said (including by a sign at the church) that she secretly married King Edward IV in this parish in 1464. So she probably would have known the church well, though the marriage itself may have taken place somewhere nearby. Today Grafton Regis is a tiny place, and there is little to suggest its royal connections, but it formerly is associated with Grafton Palace.
