The Peacock Inn

Wasn't serving food due to a refurb when we visited, but the atmosphere was good. It's a Shepherd Neame. They have Singha on tap which is quite a tasty beverage. Nice garden, been here with the kids before. Will return soon as the kitchen should be open now.

Nice, old, traditional type pub. I did sample some ales but, regretablly, not the food. The specials board seemed very interesting as did the aroma from the kitchen. When I have sampled their fare then they coukd well get 5 Stars and a well deserved 5 Stars at that !! Visited again, this time sampling the food. The pub is now under new management, so anticipation was high. However it was somewhat disappointing. One of my party had bones in her chicken, but it was dismissed by the surly waitress as we had earlier said that 'the food was fine'. At that stage the bones had not been found. We felt that this was unacceptable so will not be returning anytime soon !!
