I just came across a couple of work photographs taken of our Automotive Department whilst I worked here, many years ago in 1980/81. I counted 19 of us in each photo, Including my boss at the time, John Heritage. Anne Boyd, one of the secretaries with Maria, Alan, Stewart, another John. Plus so many faces I remember well. Sadly their names escape me. My name was Lyn Steninger at that time. Pity Im unable to post the photos up for others to enjoy. To work here was simply amazing. Beautiful grounds. The working environment was more than comfortable. We had a fabulous canteen supplying the best hot meals. A rest room, where a few of us relaxed at breaks and played a game of darts. We were on flexi-time, which enabled us to work around our projects and deadlines. Allowing us to get in early to start, and get away early on other occasions. The pay - was above average to generous in those days. As Automotive staff we were also given the regular use of vehicles to drive for the week - (testing oils for the laboratories). What a great privilege. An elite group I feel proud to have been part of. PLEASE NOTE. - 6th February 2023 UPDATESince I submitted this review JOHN ROPER has kindly given me colleagues missing names, and updates regarding my review here. Colleagues in the photos are as follows: Mark Snell, Tom Hoyes, Kevin Rogers, Ian Tilling, Jan Trocki, Dave Jones, Roger Dennison, Steve Aitken John Winfield, John Roper, Stuart Arklay, Alan Moir, Peter Wingfield, Czes Knot, Peter Mcpherson, Tom Salmon Steve Dawson, Anne Boyd, Alan Neville, Yourself, John Heritage, Maria Mitchell, Bryan Scoltock, John Bristow, Hugh Preston Currently these guys are keeping in touch, Kevin, John W, John R, Peter Mc, John B and Hugh. Sadly Dave Jones, Alan Neville and John Heritage are no longer with us. The other photo has Rod Benzie and his wife Janet are included. Feb 2023.
