Karen - Your Business Mentor

I was from a health care background, and I decided I needed a business mentor to guide me with my new business and get it off the ground. At my first free appointment Karen listened to my ideas were for my business and made me feel it was a reality. Karen kept me on track focused to ensure all my business goals were being reached. I have recently started working with Karen, and even on our first session, she made me see what is working in my business and what needs to take action to improve. Karen is a true professional, also quite easy to work with. She made me feel very comfortable and created trust from the beginning. I already ended up with reshaping my actions, filled with lots of ideas, and now feeling more confident about my next steps. I can really recommend working with Karen. I was looking for practical help to get things done not draw up yet another airy-fairy strategy. When reviewing my business Karen helped me to identify the actions where I could add most value, which would gain more profit and most importantly the ones I liked doing the most. She then helped me develop a marketing plan, identifying and reaching out to this set of customers. Together we drew up a plan of action and at our weekly meetings we reviewed progress. It was a pleasure to work with Karen and without her help, I doubt that I would have been able to move my business to the next level in record time.

I have been working with Karen now for a couple of years. As a sole trader sometimes is hard to know where your business is going. I knew after being in business for over 10 years it had room to grow but I found I was spending time working in my business not on it! Since working with Karen I have more focus on where I perceive it going - I have dropped certain things that were not working for me, and focussed on what is. I have been able to see the wood for the trees and my business has grown massively with just a few simple tweaks to how I work. In the last year alone my profits have doubled. I am actually working in a business that I thoroughly enjoy seeing grow. So how are things different since working with Karen? Aside from really allowing me to see the potential my business has she is a sounding board for all my ideas- I see karen once a month for our one to one accountability sessions and even now when I am making a decision I can always rely on Karens support and advice in between our sessions. Being a sole trader means you do make lots of mistakes whilst you are finding your way - its a way of learning however working with a business mentor like Karen those mistakes will be fewer and less costly to you in terms of time and money.
