All Saints' Church, is the Grade II* listed parish church of Chillenden, Kent, and in parts dating to the 12th century. I visited in August 2016. The church is attractively situated on elevated ground, and accessed by a churchyard yew-lined grass path from the village street. One of the features of this broach-spired church is the north porch, the inside of which leads to the nave door within a fine Romanesque portal. The church holds a Jacobean pulpit with a soundboard tester. Apart from the pulpit the interior is very plain, and like most Kent churches I've found, has very limited internal access. But the location is delightful, and you should be able to park on the usually quiet street below. Afterwards you might visit the Griffins Head pub, a few yards up the hill, or, under a mile away, The Fitzwalter Arms at Goodnestone, where you could take in the very enjoyable extensive gardens of Goodnestone Park stately home. Worth a visit to Chillenden for its character and location.
