I went to Raj optician in Aug'20 because I felt it's better to visit private optician rather being going to vision express at Tesco during pandemic crisis. The experience at Raj optician was pathetic. Doctor will talk to you in overly sugar coated words. Only high level eye test will be conducted. I did mentioned about photo sensitivity and issues of working on computer for than 9 hours daily. Sometimes see black spots.. the glasses I got is with increased lense power which gives eye stress while using laptop!!! Seriously! Was that the real diagnosis? I still find my existing glasses better than the one this doctor prescribed. Further, I was not given the prescription which the reception staff affirmed to provide me at the time of glass handover. I don't know what level of lens power was prescribed by this doctor! Another thing is, if you tell them that you want to use your frame instead buying from them, they will try to do all possible ways to convince you to purchase one from them.. even if you don't want to! They will give all sort of reasons for not to go with your existing frame..oh, c'mon!!! To be honest, THESE GUYS ARE MORE LIKE SALES PERSON THAN OPTICIANS! You can't buy loyality just by being overly pleasant. The thing that matters at the end is are the pair of glasses / lens made as per need of patient's eyes, within budget capacity and frame is as per patient's wish? The answer is NO! NO! NO! I would not recommend this optician, it is simply waste of time, energy and money.

Been taking my mother here for over 6 years and can't fault the owner nor the opticians. I called today to book my mother a appointment due to a change in her vision and was spoken to by a female called Christina. She was rude, condescending and spoke to me in a raised voice. After my third attempt to speak was overshadowed by this wannabe opticians views on why my mother was suffering blurred vision I hung up the phone. Suffice to say we won't be going here ever again.
