We feel very lucky that our son goes to Little Rosies. He is happy there, his confidence has grown hugely and he has made friends. It is clear all he is learning as he comes home with new words, phrases and songs as well as transferring manners and skills. The environment is beautifully organised and stimulating. The nursery have supportive routines in place. Our son particularly enjoys exploring different books each week and learning new words, songs and play developed from these. He also loves the daily baking / cooking! Rosemary has organised special events for Halloween and Christmas since our son has joined and included him in the celebrations even though they have fallen on a day he does not usually attend. We are kept up to date not only via Tapestry, but also with daily chats in person. All the other children and families we have met at the nursery are extremely happy too.

Since my daughter has been attending, her confidence, social and EYF skills have improved tremendously and this is down to the loving and encouraging environment she is placed in. Rosemary, the nursery manager is not only professional but is warm and empathetic and is always available to answer questions and provide constructive advice on how to encourage the development and well being of my daughter which for me as a parent, is vitally important. Rosemary and her colleagues really do have the best interests of the children at heart which is why I wholeheartedly recommend this nursery school.

Unfortunately I didn't get through the door- Rosemary berated me for being 5 minutes late to view the nursery and I found it a little unwelcoming. I arrived and buzzed the intercom but she left me waiting outside for a further 10 minutes before coming out, ignoring me, talking to another mother (which of course was fine) but then informing me I wasn't coming in for being late. When I tried to explain I had been a few minutes late due to traffic, instead of being polite and accommodating in a gentle and kind manner she abruptly said most parents would call her.I explained as I was driving and as it was just 5 minutes, I thought it wouldn't be a problem. I also don't understand why she didn't tell me immediately on arrival over the intercom after I rang it- but in turn herself left me waiting without any mention of it. Instead confusingly, she said she would be right out. I would assume I could have easily viewed the nursery in that time or at least had a friendly conversation. She didn't even politely say goodbye. I think kindness and empathy, is something all children should have in abundance. Sadly, I did not see this at Little Rosies.

This review is long overdue, I have just remembered to write it as I was signing Little Rosie's praises to some parents at a local play group. Where to start? Well firstly the staff are amazing, so warm, kind and friendly. They have really given my daughter the extra love and attention she has needed whilst transitioning to becoming a big sister and through her potty training stage. The nursery is clean, they make a great effort to ensure the children have outdoor time everyday, the fees are very reasonable, they go the extra mile to put on plays, sports days, picture days, outings etc. I feel they genuinely care for my daughter which puts me at ease. I can't sing their praises enough.
