Shirlee Kay Therapy & Counselling

I was given Shirlee's details through a friend who suggested i speak to someone. At the time i was having as we all do a difficult period, combined with a hectic London life i was starting to feel like a dark cloud was looming. I now see Shirlee sporadically, more as a mental check in with myself. She has the ability to help you see yourself for what you are, she is warm and welcoming, cuts straight to the heart of the issue and guides you to a solution that is right for you. I cannot recommend this wonderful person enough, if you are lucky to get into her books you won't want to let this one go.

Shirlee is a wonderful therapist who helped me through some very difficult times. I found her to be warm and very empathetic with a keen intelligence and an intuitive understanding of me and the issues I needed to resolve. She is by far the best therapist I have seen and I could not recommend her highly enough!

Had such a terrible experience here - Shirlee completely lacks warmth and empathy. She lectured me on what she thought my "issues" were, although she was completely wrong about everything, she just kept going on and on. I was in tears at the end of the session and she just opened the door onto the street and I collapsed into a heap on the pavement. Despite having a 5-storey townhouse she does not have a waiting area so you have to arrive at the exact time of your appointment or she will not let you in, and she actually tells you off if you arrive a minute early as she does not want you to see the previous person leaving. Despite my reservations I went back for a second session and it was even worse. It was an extremely traumatic experience which I would not wish on anyone else.
