My father in law passed away after a brief illness on 27th April. We contacted the number on the website as we knew this was who we wanted to do the funeral. Carl came promptly to collect him and speak to my mother in law. He explained the ' what happens now' questions sensitively. The arrangements where so easy with the support and advice off Carl and Sue. Once he was prepared we went to see him and the room he was in was beautiful, peaceful and professional at the same time. They cater for all budgets and there was no pressure at all for additional items. Today was the service...... from start to finish it was professional and sensitively conducted. Beautiful cars and lovely staff too. The flowers and order if services were beautiful too Thank you sooo much for an outstanding service from start to finish xx

Carl & Susan were professional and dignified from when we had to ring them out of hours right until the end. We were made to feel at ease with the choice of meeting them at the funeral parlour or at home. Colliery Cottage was modern, clean and we were made to feel comfortable. The process was stress free and simple which helped being an only child. I was kept up to date every step of the way and the order of service was designed beautifully. Everything went smooth and we gave my mum the send off she wouldve wanted. If you find yourself in this situation I wouldnt hesitate to recommend Carl Hogg & Susan Fields Funeral Services.

We used Carl and Susan to assist with my late dads funeral. From my first call to end of the funeral I have to say they offered an excellent, kind and compassionate service at a difficult time. They helped to organise everything. I was delighted I used the company.

The most caring, understanding and professional service you could receive at this lowest point in anybodys life, Carl & Susan are the ultimate professionals, but with compassion, from the first time me and my mum met them to arrange my dads and my mums husband funeral they made us feel at home, even from the very 1st cup of coffee, till they laid my dad to rest, it was amazing, many thanks from all our family Mrs B Langton and Mr J Langton

Carl and Sue firstly arranged my Nana's funeral a couple of years ago and did such an amazing job that my Dad insisted, when it was his time, we absolutely must use them. Unfortunately his time came far too soon and, under his strict instructions, we contacted Carl to assist in arranging his funeral. From start to finish, Carl and Sue were outstanding. Their kindness, compassion and friendliness, made what was an incredibly difficult time just a bit easier. They truly care about their clients and do everything in their power to make it as bearable as possible. The way they took care of my Dad and were so kind and respectful, truly shows what amazing people they are. Expert knowledge, friendly service and impeccable execution - the day couldn't have gone more smoothly and we can't thank you enough for your diligence and professionalism to give my Dad the send off he deserved.
