Pros: Nice room, pottery and sound bath sessions were great, nice dinner at Zebra Riding Club, nice grounds, easy to get to from central London, great pastries from the bakery. Cons: Nowhere near enough staff and current staff need a lot of training, long wait for drinks and (below average) food at Links and Valeries, terrible shower. Not Birchs fault, but there are loads of kids running around whose parents seemingly couldnt care less what theyre up to. Really wanted to love it

Our second time here with family and this time with friends for a celebration. Couldnt have gone better- relaxed vibes, good people, fine food, chilled atmosphere with great entertainment (had a blast at Dabbers bingo) My only small complaint is that the portions at zebra riding club were tiny- we all needed pizza to soak up the wine- which was pricey. Service was attentive though, particularly when topping up said wine. But our request to add a birthday cake and 50 candles was graciously accommodated, and the courtyard terrace a perfect venue. For a mixed gathering of friends and family of all ages, birch is a revelation. Dont expect luxury but do expect a blooming great time for the price. And the lido, yoga, entertainment and kids clubs are the icing on the cake - the staff are fantastic too. And it feels posh without being in the slightest bit poncey. Feral kids (and slightly squiffy parents) gathered around fire pits made for a joyous feeling of laissez faire festivities. Good times have most certainly been had.
